Mi­cha­el Ignaz Stadlmann

Michael Ignaz Stadlmann is considered a valued master of the Viennese School. This copy is based on an original instrument from 1780, played by the Vienna Philharmonic. Its shape is slender and higher as the model from his brother Johann Joseph, the shoulders are rounder and the scroll a little smaller. The arching is flat, the sound clear and powerful. A bass for solo and orchestra with a clear sound.

Built by Jakobus Zuckerstätter in 2024. Dark red-brown oil varnish on a golden ground.
