Jo­hann Jo­seph Stadlmann

A copy made in 2023 based on an original instrument from the Vienna University of Music. Instruments by Johann Joseph Stadlmann are probably the best known when it comes to Viennese double basses. The body is longer than that of his brother Michael Ignaz and the shoulders are a little flatter. Suitable for solo and orchestra playing. Powerful sound, rich in overtones.

We offer this model as a modern 4 or 5 stringed bass, as well as with a historical baroque setup.
